Statue of Equality

The Statue of Equality is a grand, 216-feet-tall, golden statue of Sri Ramanujacharya, a Hindu saint and a social reformer from 11th century and was built to commemorate his 1000th birth anniversary. This is located on the premises of the Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Muchintal village near Hyderabad.

The statue was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 5th February, 2022. The Bhadra Vedi building under the statue has a smaller Ramanuja statue made of 120 kg gold and inaugurated by President Shri Ramnath Kovind on 13th February, 2022. The entry ticket charges are Rs.250 for adults and Rs.150 for kids aged 5-12 years and free for kids below 5 years.

The statue complex also has replicas of 108 Divya desam(Vishnu) temples divided into 4 sets and takes around 45-60 mins to cover all. There is a light and sound show in the evening and the statue looks beautiful in the lighting. To have a view of both with and without lights, you may plan to visit before sunset and leave after sunset.

Mobiles and Cameras are not allowed inside the complex and there is a locker facility available at the entrance gate to deposit the same. You can take photos from outside the complex which also has a very good view of the statue. There is ample parking space available very close to the entrance. There is a food court and prasadam counter at the exit. There is a dancing water show called Leela Jala Neerajanam at 5.30 pm daily and a Dynamic Fountain show at 8pm. There is a Laser show at 7 pm daily on weekdays and on Saturdays and Sundays, there is an additional show at 8.45 pm.

Statue of Equality timings: 6.30 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 5.30 am to 8.30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. It is closed on last Wednesday of the month.
