My Road Trips
Here are My Road Trips that I went on to explore our country. You get to explore a lot during the road trips as you pass through the various villages and towns across the route. One can cover a lot of points that are on the way or just some distance away from the main route.
- Madhya Pradesh (6 days and covered Bhedaghat, Khajuraho, Udayagiri Caves, Sanchi Stupa, Bhojpur Temple, Bhimbetka Rock Formations, Ujjain, Indore, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar and Mahurgad in Maharashtra)
- Assam and Meghalaya Trip (for 8 days and covered Guwahati, Kaziranga National park, Meghalaya)
- Odisha Trip (for 5 days and covered Bhubaneswar, Konark, Puri, Chilka lake and Jajpur)
- Tamil Nadu (9 days and covered Lepakshi in AP, Palani, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Tiruchendur, Rameswaram, Trichy, Tanjavur, Swamimalai, Kumbakonam, Chidambaram, Tiruvannamalai and Kanipakam in AP)
- Puducherry, Kanchipuram, Tirupati, Horsley Hills and Mantralayam for 9 days
- Hampi, Murudeshwar, Gokarna and Badami Caves in Karnataka for 8 days
- Gujarat and Diu Trip (covering Ahmedabad, Dwarka, Somnath and Diu) for 5 days
- Mysuru, Srirangapatna, Wayanad, Beluru and Halebeedu Trip for 5 days
- Trip to the Godavari Districts in Andhra Pradesh for 3 days covering Dwarakatirumala, Antarvedi, Ksheeraramam, Draksharamam, Kumararamam, Puruhootika Devi temple and Uppada
- Trip to Rayalaseema for 3 days covering Alampur, Mahanandi, Ahobilam, Yaganti and Belum caves
- 4 day Rayalaseema Trip covering Srisailam, Brahmamgari Matham, Vontimitta, Ahobilam, Banaganapalle, Yaganti and Orvakallu Rock Garden.
- Warangal, Eturunagaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Laknavaram for 4 days
- Maredumilli and Bhadrachalam for 5 days
- Delhi Agra Mathura and Uttarakhand(Garhwal) Trip(for 8 days and covered Delhi, Agra, Mathura, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Haridwar, Rishikesh and Devprayag)
- Shirdi, Aurangabad, Ellora Caves and Ajanta Caves in Maharashtra for 4 days
- Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Sikkim trip for 9 days

Namaste. Your travel blog is very informative and useful.
1. My wife and I, (late 60’s!) wish to make a road trip to : Must see: Kanipakam, Madurai, Rameshwaram, Thanjavur, Sri Rangam,
If Possible: Chidambaram, Dhanushkodi, Vivekananda rock.
2. I will be driving during day and will not dirve after dark. So safety and parking are factors.
3. We do not want to return using the same route for going and coming back. We would like to see new places so both routes should be different.
4. Could you kindly help us by suggesting a route map ? any advice for an old couple , especially steps in temples, heat and food will be deeply appreciated.

Hi Sir, I did a similar trip covering the temples you mentioned by road from Hyderabad and followed two different routes while going and coming. There are not many steps in these temples that you mentioned but there are steps in a few Murugan temples. But the temples are huge and will involve walking a lot within the campus.
