Venkateswara Swamy Temples in and around Hyderabad

While Tirupati/ Tirumala is famous for Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, there are quite a few of those in and around Hyderabad. Here are a few Venkateswara Swamy Temples in Hyderabad that devotees would visit during Dhanurmasam(mid Dec to mid Jan ending on Bhogi festival day) or otherwise. 1. Chilkur Balaji Temple – Sri Chilkur Balaji temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located in Chilkur village around 30 kms from Hyderabad. It is also called VISA Balaji temple as devotees believe that he grants Visas for students and employees for higher studies or jobs abroad.

2. Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple TTD, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – Located in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad, it was built in 2019 by TTD and being maintained by TTD.

3. Birla Mandir – Birla Mandir is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located on a hill called Naubath Paahad in the heart of Hyderabad city. Was built in 1976 by the Aditya Birla group and has a beautiful view of the city scape and Hussain Sagar lake.

4. Swarnagiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple: Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and located in Manepally Hills, Bhuvanagiri around 50 kms from Hyderabad. It was inaugurated in January, 2024 and has a huge idol of Lord Venkateswara around 16 ft and also a reclining idol of Lord Vishnu in the pool.

5. Ratnalayam – Ratnalayam Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located in Aliapur village near Shamirpet around 30 kms from Hyderabad.

6. Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Manyam Konda – Manyamkonda Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located near Devarkadara village in Mahabubnagar District around 125 kms from Hyderabad on the Mahabubnagar-Raichur road. It is also called Tirupati of the poor or of Telangana.

7. Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Sri Vaikuntapuram, Sangareddy – Vaikuntapuram Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located near Sangareddy Town around 65 kms from Hyderabad. It has a huge idol of Sri Venkateswara Swamy similar to Tirumala and is located amidst the fields.

8. Sanghi Temple – Sanghi Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and located in Sanghi Nagar around 35 kms from Hyderabad.

9. Sri Venkateswara Ananda Aalayam temple, Beeramguda : Dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy and is newly built located next to the famous ancient Beeramguda Shiva temple.
