The visitors can have a glimpse of the Disney based theme rides, characters, etc. There are also rides based on Disney. One also gets to see the people dressed in different characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. and can take photos with them. They also have shows, stores where one can buy souvenirs, etc. One needs to plan the trip properly so as to cover all the attractions and beat the queues. There is an option of fast pass for some attractions and can use the same. I have been to 5 of these parks and here are the details.
The first park, Disneyland Park, was setup in Anaheim near Los Angeles, California in 1955. It has different zones like Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Mickey’s Toontown, etc. There are different types of tickets like standard, park hopper, etc. I visited this park thrice between 2004-2006.

The second park, Disney California Adventure Park, was setup in Anaheim near Los Angeles, California in 2001 next to Disneyland. It is based on Disney’s interpretation of California using Disney Animation, Pixar and Marvel properties. There are different types of tickets like standard, park hopper, etc. I visited this park thrice between 2004-2006.

The third park, Tokyo Disneyland was the first one outside of US and opened in 1983 in Tokyo, Japan and was the first Universal Studios outside of United States. It has attractions in 7 themed areas: the World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Critter Country and Toontown. The parks in Japan are the only ones not owned by Walt Disney. The shows are in Japanese ad English. Visited this park in between 2006-2008.

The fourth park, Tokyo Disneysea was opened in 2001 in Tokyo just next to the Disneyland in, Japan and was the first Universal Studios outside of United States. The park has 7 water themed ports and entrance to the park is Mediterranean Harbor. The others are: American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, and Mysterious Island. Visited this park in between 2006-2008. It was the fifth anniversary when we visited.

The fifth park, Hong Kong Disneyland was opened in 2005 on a reclairmed land in HongKong. It was the second Disneyland in Asia after Tokyo. The attractions are spread across 8 themed areas: Main Street U.S.A., Fantasy land, Adventure land, Tomorrow land, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, ToyStory Land and World of Frozen. The shows are in Chinese and English. Visited this park in 2012.

It is always fun to visit these parks and better to plan it properly to enjoy it fully.
