Ashtadasa(18) Sakthi Peethas
Sakthi Peethas are the temples which are different forms of Goddeses Sakthi and supposed to have originated at the places where different body parts of Goddess Sati fell. There are 18 Sakthi Peethas spread across India and Srilanka/Pakistan. They are also called Ashtadasa Sakthi Peethas or Ashtadasa Shakti Peethas. Below are the details of the same:
1. Kamakshidevi, Kanchi, Tamil Nadu : This is considered to be the first of 18 Sakthi Peethas and is located in Kanchipuram around 85 kms from Chennai in Tamil Nadu state. This is the place where navel of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 5:30 AM – 12:15 PM & 4:00 PM – 8:15 PM (till 9:30 PM on Fridays and 10:30 PM on Pournami/Full moon days )
Note: Mobiles are not allowed inside the temple and need to be deposited in the lockers available.

2. Jogulamba Devi, Alampur, Telangana: This is located in Alampur town of Telangana state around 200 kms from Hyderabad and is very close to Kurnool on the Telangana and AP state border 10 kms from NH44. This is the place where upper teeth of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM & 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM

3. Bhramaramba Devi, Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh: This is located in Srisailam town of Andhra Pradesh state in the Nallamala forest area around 220 kms from Hyderabad on the Telangana and AP state border. This is the place where neck of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM & 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

4. Mahakali Devi, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: This is located in Ujjain town of Madhya Pradesh state. This is the place where upper lip of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

5. Manikyamba Devi, Draksharamam, Andhra Pradesh: This is located in Draksharamam town of Andhra Pradesh state around 28 kms from Kakinada town and 60 kms from Rajahmundry. This is the place where left cheek of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 6.00 am-12.00 pm & 3.00 pm-8.00 pm

6. Chamundeswari Devi, Mysuru, Karnataka: This is located on the Chamundi Hill in Mysuru town of Karnataka state. This is the place where hair locks of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 7:30 am–2.00 pm, 3:30–6.00 pm & 7:30–9.00 pm

7. Ekaveera Devi or Renuka Devi, Mahur, Maharashtra: This is located in Mahur town of Maharashtra state. This is the place where right shoulder of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen. Ground beetal leaf is offered as Prasad here which is unique compared to other temples.
Temple Timings: 7:30 am–8:30 pm


8. Puruhutika Devi, Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh: This is located in Pithapuram town of Andhra Pradesh state just on the outskirts of Kakinada town. This is the place where left hand of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 5.00 am-12.30 pm & 4.30 pm-8.30 pm

9. Shankari Devi, Trincomalee, Srilanka: This is located in Trincomalee town in the country of Srilanka. This is the place where groin of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 6:00 am–6:00 pm
10. Shrinkhala Devi, Pandua, West Bengal: This is located in Pandua town of Hooghly district in West Bengal state. This is the place where abdomen of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 6:00 am–8:00 pm
11. Mahalakshmi Devi, Kolhapur, Maharashtra:This is located in Kolhapur town of Maharashtra state. This is the place where eyes of Goddess Sati are believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 4:00 am–10:30 pm
12. Biraja Devi, Jajpur, Odisha: This is located in Jajpur town of Odisha state. This is the place where part of abdomen of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 5:30 AM to 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM

13. Kamakhya Devi, Guwahati, Assam: This is located in Guwahati city of Assam state. This is the place where vulva of Goddess Sati are believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 5:30 am–1:00 pm & 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

14. Vishalakshi, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh: This is located in Varanasi or Kashi town of Uttar Pradesh state. This is the place where nose of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 6.00 am-10.00 pm
15. Madhaveshwari Devi, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh:This is located in Prayagraj(formerly Allahabad) town of Uttar Pradesh state. This is the place where fingers of Goddess Sati are believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 7.00 am-8.30 pm
16. Jwalamukhi Devi, Jwalamukhi, Himachal Pradesh: :This is located in Jwalamukhii town of Himachal Pradesh state. This is the place where head of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 5.00 am-10.00 pm
17. Mangala Gauri Devi, Gaya, Bihar: This is located in Gaya town of Bihar state. This is the place where breasts of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen.
Temple Timings: 6.00 am-8.00 pm
18. Saraswati Devi, Sharda Peeth Kashmir : This is located in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir around 150 kms from Mujafarabad. This is the place where right hand of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen. Only the ruins remain here now.
