KCR ECO Urban Park

KCR Eco Urban Park, also called Mayuri Haritha Vanam or Mayuri park is located at Shankarayapalle near Mahbubnagar town on the Mahbubnagar-Jadcherla road. It is a park with lots of greenery and other mini parks like Butterfly park, Currency park, Jungle Safari, etc. It was inaugurated in July 2020 and is part of the 2087 acres of forest area. The region lies on the slopes of Bontagattu mountain range. The park is open from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm daily. There is an entry fee of Rs.30/- for adults(above 10 years) and Rs.15/- for kids aged between 5 and 10 years. Parking is available at a fee of 50/- for Vans, 30/- for Cars, 20/- for Autos and 15/- for 2 wheelers.

There are quite a few activities for kids and adults like boating(separately available for kids), sky cycling, Archery & Rifle Shooting, Zip lining. Elevated walkway through the trees, enclosures for Rabbits, Ducks, Ostrich, Parakeets, Children play area with play equipment like slides, swings, Merry Go rounds, etc. Picnic area where the locals get good and have here on the grass. There are other amenities such as Sitting Benches, Toilets, Mineral Drinking Water, Gazebos .There is also a Jungle Safari which was started in May 2023 for which they charge 2000/- per trip(can seat up to 7 passengers) and takes around 1.5 to 2 hrs time. The safari is open from 10 am to 4pm(last trip start) and few of the animals that can be spotted are deers, peacocks, wild boars and some times cheetahs.

Currency Park is unique here and not generally seen in other parks. It has the symbols of different country currencies and also a brief description about the same. It has quite a few currencies displayed. Also, the Ostrich enclosure which has 2 Ostriches is rarely seen in such parks. There is an option for night stay in tents provided there are at least 10 members and they charge 1500/- per person. It is a nice weekend getaway from Hyderabad for family. Quite a few locals also visit it for a picnic or family outing.
