Sri Peddamma Talli Temple, Jubilee Hills
Peddamma Talli Temple located in Jubilee hills area of Hyderabad is dedicated to Goddess Peddamma(form of Goddess Durga). It is believed to be around 150 years old and the current structure is relatively new, constructed in the year 1993. The main idol is made of Panchaloha and is 10 feet tall. It is quite popular among the devotees in the city of Hyderabad. It is especially crowded on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The temple was developed by ex MLA of Khairtabad Mr. P. Janardhan Reddy and hence his idol is also kept in the premises. There is annadanam done here and is visited by politicians, industrialists, etc. Bonalu festival is celebrated in a grand way every year in the month of June/July. It is famous for the vehicle pooja and the fee is Rs.50/- for two-wheelers and Rs.100/- for four-wheelers.
Different Veda parayana recitals happen every day and below are the timings for the various recitals:
- Krishna Yajurvedam – 6 am to 9.30 am
- Rugvedam – 9.30 am to 1 pm
- Sri Chandi Parayanam – 1 pm to 4.30 pm
- Sri Maha Vidya Parayanam – 4.30 pm to 8 pm
It is located on Road number 55 of Jubilee Hills and there is ample parking space. Charge for car parking is Rs.20/- and two wheelers is Rs.10/- One can also reach here by metro rail and is very close to the Peddamma Gudi metro station on the Blue line between Raidurgam and Nagole.
Temple Timings: 6 am to 1 pm in the morning and 3 pm to 8 pm in the evening from Monday to Saturday and 6 am to 8.30 pm on Sundays.
