Shri Manasa Devi Temple, Khasimpet
Shri Manasa Devi Temple located in Khasimpet Village, Ganneruvaram Mandal, Karimnagar District is believed to be Swayambhu(self manifested) temple of Shri Manasa Devi. This is the second Shri Manasa Devi temple after the famous one in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The original idol of Manasa Devi(alongwith Apuroopa Lakshmi), which is believed to be 800 years old, was found by chance when the locals were trying to correct the position of the Veerabhadraswamy idol in the fields as it was tilted to one side. The new temple complex was built around 2014 and opened to public. The original Veerabhadra Swamy temple is also placed within the same complex.
It is believed that if one ties the Mudupu(sacred offering) to the Dwaja Sthambham and wish for something(especially for kids), those wishes get fulfilled. Also, there is a Gundam with 108 Nagapratima Siva lingas around it and an idol of Lord Siva in between. There are also idols of Hanuman idol, Ganesha, Lakshmi Devi, Sri Seeta Rama Lakshmana and Hanuman. Navagrahas are in same complex. Sree Chakram is also present in the temple. There is Annadanam daily and the tickets are provided in the main temple at exit. There is no seperate ticket for Archana but one can go for the Special darshan ticket which is 100/- each for all above 10 years. Mudupulu are available at the temple counter for 100/- each and also prasadam, Laddu – 25/- and Pulihora – 20/-. The priests here are from North India.
There is ample some parking space near the temple for 4 and 2 wheelers. It is located in the midst of fields and around 150 kms from Hyderabad, 40 kms from Karimnagar and 35 kms from Siddipet. This is around 10 kms from the Highway and there are some shared autos available from the highway and also TGSRTC buses from Karimnagar(7 am and 10 am). There are very few food options available. So better to carry your own food, if required.
