Tadbund Hanuman Temple

Tadbund Hanuman Temple also called Sri Tadbund Veeranjaneya Swamy Devastanam located in Tadbund/Sikh Village area of Secunderabad is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is believed to be Swayambhu or self manifested and around 100 years old. Thousands of devotees visit this temples every day. The main idol is carved on the stone and also has the idol of Sri Vinayaka next to it. It is quite popular among the devotees in the cities of Hyderabad, Secunderabad and is especially crowded on Tuesdays and Sundays.

The temple also has the idols of Sri Vinayaka, Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana and Dasanjaneya, Sri Siva Panchayatana(Sri Siva Lingam along with Goddess Parvathi, Vinayaka, Vishnu and Surya), Navagrahas, Sri Nagendra, Ushna(Camel, which is considered to be the vahana of Lord Hanuman). Sri Suvarchala Veeranjaneya Swamy is worshiped as Utsava vigrahas in the temple. Lord Hanuman had to marry Suvarchala Devi(Daughter or Sun God) to complete Nava Vyakaranas(as four of the nine had to be done by Gruhasthas i.e married persons only). As Lord Hanuman dedicated his total life for Sri Rama seva, both practiced Brahmacharya even after their Marriage.

There is a Kalyana Mandapam in the temple premises and also rooms for devotees who come from outside to perform Mandala Abhishekams or Mandala Pradakshinas for 40 days. Hanuman Jayanthi(Chaitra Shudda Purnima and Vaishaka Bahula Dasami) is celebrated in a very big way and the Hanuman Shobha yatra is held from Old city to Tadbund on this day.

Tadbund Hanuman temple is famous for the vehicle poojas and the fee is Rs.100/- for two-wheelers, Rs.150/- for 3 wheelers, Rs.250/- for cars and Rs.500/- for heavy four-wheelers like buses and lorry.

8 am to 11.30 am in the morning and 4.30 pm to 8 pm on Tuesdays

8 am to 11.30 am in the morning and 4.30 pm to 9 pm in the evening on Saturdays

The temple is located just 5 kms from Secunderabad Railway station and 3 kms from Jubilee Bus Station. TSRTC bus route numbers 26, 29, 30, 31, 226, 219 pass through Tadbund bus stop which is walkable distance from the temple.
