Temples of Gujarat
The Western State of Gujarat has a few famous temples including two of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples and one of the CharDham temples. Here is the information about the Temples of Gujarat. You can find information about the temples from other states here.
1. Sri Somnath Temple, Veraval – Dedicated to Lord Siva, it is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples which are considered to be sacred for Hindus. It is located in Veraval on the shores of Arabian Sea.


2. Shree Dwarkadhish Temple, Dwarka – Dedicated to Lord Krishna, it is one of the Chardham temples from the Western part of India. This is where Lord Krishna is believed to have spent major part of his life.


3. Sri Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, Darukaavanam Near Dwarka– Dedicated to Lord Siva, it is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples which are considered to be sacred for Hindus and located near Dwarka.


4. Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple, Dwarka – Dedicated to Lord Siva , this Temple is on the shores of Arabian sea and is partly submerged for a few days in the year. It is believed to be around 5000 years old.


5. Bhalka Teerth Temple, Near Somnath – Dedicated to Lord Krishna, this is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna left to heavenly abode after mistakenly being hit by the arrow from a poacher, Jara.


7. Kamnath Mahadev Temple, Somnath – Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is an ancient temple situated close to the Triveni Sangam ghat in Somnath.

9. Sri Ram Mandir, Somnath – Dedicated to Lord Rama, this was newly constructed in 2017 by the Somnath Trust and is located close to the main Somnath temple.

10. Akshardham Temple, Gandhinagar – Dedicated to Swami Narayan and located in Gandhinagar, this is one of the biggest temples.
