Waterfalls around Hyderabad

Here are the 5 waterfalls around Hyderabad. There are quiet a few waterfalls in Telangana which are a treat to watch during monsoon season and here are the 5 main waterfalls.

Ettipottala Waterfalls – Around 180 kms from Hyderabad, the beautiful waterfalls located close to Nagarjuna sagar is a must visit place. This is in the state of Andhra Pradesh and around 30 kms from Nagarjuna Sagar dam.

Kuntala Waterfalls – Around 265 kms from Hyderabad on the NH44(10kms inside) and is considered to be the biggest waterfalls in Telangana. One needs to climb down quite a few steps to get a view of the waterfalls.

Pochera Waterfalls – Around 265 kms from Hyderabad on the NH44(other side to Kuntala waterfalls) and is small compared to Kuntala but very good.

Bogatha Waterfalls – Around 278 kms from Hyderabad on the border of Telangana and Chhattisgarh, it is also called the Niagara falls of Telangana. It is close to Eturunagaram wildlife sanctuary and can be combined for a weekend getaway. There was no water when we went there but it is mesmerizing when in full flow.

Mallela Theertam Waterfalls – Around 190 kms from Hyderabad on the Srisailam Highway and located in Nallamala forest. One needs to take a detour for around 10 kms from the highway to reach the waterfalls.
