Yadadri or Yadagirigutta
Yadagirigutta or Yadadri temple is situated in the Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri District of Telangana state and is one of the two Nava Narasimha Kshetras in Telangana(rest 7 are in Andhra Pradesh). It is believed that in Tretayuga, sage Yadarishi did penance with the blessings of Lord Hanuman on this hill between Bhuvanagiri and Raigiri. Pleased with his deep devotion, Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu appeared before him in five different forms, Sri Jwala Narasimha, Sri Yogananda Narasimha, Sri Gandabherunda Narasimha, Sri Ugra Narasimha and Sri Lakshmi Narasimha.
All these five forms are presently worshipped within the temple. Hence the deity is worshiped as Pancha Narasimha Kshetram here. The main idol of Jwala Narasimha is in a cave and on the hillock. There are other idols of YogaNarasimha, Lakshmi Narasimha and Utsav idols next to the main idol.
It is considered to be the biggest temple in Telangana and considered to be very sacred. The temple has been completely revamped by Telangana Government in the year 2022 with lot of space and art work. One can reach to the top of hill by steps or road. There are around 400 steps to climb and takes around 10 mins. Only the state transport buses are allowed to the hill top which is free of charge and recently autos are also being allowed. There is a limited car parking available at the top of hill near to the temple and they charge Rs.500/- for parking there(this amount collected is being used to provide free bus service to the devotees). The parking charges are Rs.50/- at the ground level.
There is also a Siva Temple(Sri Parvathavardhini Sametha Ramalingeswara Swamy temple) at the exit of the main temple next to Prasadam counter and it has a big spatika lingam and idols of Siva and Parvathi. There are also smaller temples of Parvathavardhini, Ganesha, Hanuman, Navagrahas along with Rahu and Ketu. This temple was constructed in 2022.
Mobile phones are not allowed inside the temple and there is a provision to deposit the same just outside the temple near to entrance where queue lines start. There are mobile phone deposit counters at the bus stop from where the queue starts for the free darshan and also deposit counter next to the entrance for special and break darshan. They charge Rs.10/- per mobile phone deposited. There are a lot of monkeys around and one should take care of their belongings. House keeping staff there keeps asking money for cleaning and does not look nice in such a big temple.
