Temples of Telangana – There are some famous Temples in Telangana state that are spread across various districts including the famous Saraswati temple at Basara, Ram temple at Bhadrachalam, Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri, etc. Most of them are close to Hyderabad and make perfect weekend getaways which can be visited in a day or two. 24. Dakshin Badrinath – Dakshin Ke Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and located near Medchal town on the outskirts of Hyderabad at around 35 kms distance.

25. Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple – Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and located in Srirangapur village of Wanaparthy(erstwhile Mahabubnagar) district around 175 kms from Hyderabad.

26. Beechupally Anjaneya Swamy temple – Beechupalli Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and located in Beechupally village of Jogulamba Gadwal(erstwhile Mahabubnagar) district on the banks of river Krishna on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru Highway around 170 kms from Hyderabad.

27. Shri Jagannath Temple, Hyderabad – Shri Jagannath Temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath(form of Lord Krishna) in Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad city.

30. Sri Sivaganga Raja Rajeswara Temple Maheswaram– Sri Sivaganga Raja Rajeswari Raja Rajeswara Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Siva and located in Maheswaram village around 30 kms from Hyderabad

31. Surendrapuri – Surendrapuri Temple is a Mythological themepark and located near Yadadri temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri(erstwhile Nalgonda) district around 60 kms from Hyderabad.

32. Bhukailas Temple, Tandur – Bhukailas Temple is dedicated to Lord Siva and is located nearTandur town in Rangareddy District around 110 kms from Hyderabad. This relatively newly constructed temple in Tandur town of Vikarabad District is another temple with a touch of mythological theme park including 65 ft statue of Lord Siva, Kalabhairava statue, Veerabhadra statue, etc. It has a water path to visit the main deity of Siva where the Dwadasa Jyotirlingas are placed.

33. Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Sri Vaikuntapuram, Sangareddy – Vaikuntapuram Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located near Sangareddy Town around 65 kms from Hyderabad. It has a huge idol of Sri Venkateswara Swamy similar to Tirumala and is located amidst the fields.

34. Sri BhadraKali Sametha Veerabhadra Swamy Temple, Bonthapally, Jinnaram Mandal: Sri BhadraKali Sametha Veerabhadra Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra(form of Siva) and Bhadrakali and located in Bonthapally village of Jinnaram mandal in the Nasapur forest area around 35 kms from Hyderabad.

35. Birla Mandir – Birla Mandir is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy and located on a hill called Naubath Paahad in the heart of Hyderabad city.

36. Kolanupaka Jain Temple – Kolanupaka Swetamber Jain Mandir is dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras of Lord Rishabha, Lord Neminath, and Lord Mahaveer and located in Kolanupaka village near in Aler town of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri(erstwhile Nalgonda) district around 80 kms from Hyderabad.

37. Ujjaini Mahankali Temple, Secunderabad – Ujjaini Mahankali Temple is dedicated to Goddess Mahankali and located in Secunderabad very close to the Railway station.

38. Balkampet Yellamma Temple – Balkampet Yellamma Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yellamma and is located in Balkampet area of Hyderabad very close to Ameerpet.

39. Karmanghat Hanuman Temple – Karmanghat Hanuman Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and located in Karmanghat area of Hyderabad.

40. Sanghi Temple – Sanghi Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and located in Sanghi Nagar around 35 kms from Hyderabad.

41. Sri Bramarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy Devastanam, BeeramgudaDedicated to Lord Siva, this 6th century CE old temple is located in the outskirts of Hyderabad in Beeramguda. Sri Venkateswara Ananda Aalayam temple dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy which is newly built is also located next to this temple.

42. Sri Peddamma Thalli Temple, Hyderabad – Dedicated to Peddamma Thalli, it is located in Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad.

43. Sri Tadbund Veeranjaneya Swamy Devasthanam, Tadbund, SecunderabadDedicated to Lord Hanuman this is located in Tadbund area of Secunderabad and is quite old. It is famous for the vehicle poojas that happen everyday.

44. Sri Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple TTD, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad Located in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad, it was built by and being maintained by TTD.

45. Hare Krishna Golden Temple, Hyderabad – Located in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad, it is the first Golden Temple in Hyderabad. It is also called Swayambhu Sri Narasimha Swamy temple and has idols of RadhaKrishna alongwith Narasimha Swamy.

46. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devastanam, Nampally Gutta near Vemulawada – Dedicated to Lord Narasimha Swamy and is located near Vemulawada in Rajanna Siricilla(erstwhile Karimnagar) district around 150 kms from Hyderabad.

47. Nimishambika Devi Temple, Boduppal, Hyderabad:  Dedicated to Goddess Nimishambika(Incarnation of Goddess Durga), this is a relatively new temple built in 2002 and located in Pentareddy colony of Boduppal. Devotees visit this temple to wish for something and fulfill their wishes.

48. Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple, NandiKandi : Dedicated to Lord Shiva this is a very Ancient temple located at Nandikandi near Sangareddy around 70 kms from Hyderabad. It was built around 1000 years ago by the Chalukyas and is a Protected monument.

49. Sri AdiNarayana Swamy Temple, Kodakanchi : Dedicated to Lord Vishnu this is a very Ancient temple located at Kodakanchi village in Jinnaram Mandal around 40 kms from Hyderabad. It was built around 1000 years ago and has golden and silver lizards as in Kanchi Varadaraja Perumal temple.

50. Sri Kashi Vishveswara Swamy Temple, Kalabgoor: Dedicated to Lord Siva and also Anantha Padmanabhaswamy, Venugopala Swamy this is a very Ancient temple located at Kalabgoor village near Sangareddy around 65 kms from Hyderabad. It was built around 1000 years ago by the Kakatiyas and is also called Trikutalayam as it has all 3 idols. It is very close to Manjeera reservoir. It is a Protected Monument.

51. Swarnagiri Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple: Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara and located in Manepally Hills, Bhuvanagiri around 50 kms from Hyderabad. It was inaugurated in January, 2024 and has a huge idol of Lord Venkateswara around 16 ft and also a reclining idol of Lord Vishnu in the pool.

52. Sri Chandikamba Sahita Someswara Swamy temple, Kolanupaka: Dedicated to Lord Siva and located in Kolanupaka, around 80 kms from Hyderabad on the Warangal highway. It is one of the anciennt temples built in 11th century and has multiple Siva Lingas including a kotilingala Lingam and Brahma Sutra Siva Lingam.

53. Ramesneswara Mahakshetram, Nagireddipalle near Bhuvanagiri: It is like a theme based mahakshetram with temples and idols of multiple Gods but mainly famous for the Golden Siva Linga weighing 800 kgs and multiple others. It is located in Nagireddipalle village near Bhuvanagiri town around 60 kms from Hyderabad. It is relatively new and has multiple Siva Lingas including the Golden Siva linga, Spatika lingas, etc.
